Cross-disciplinarily

Crossdisciplinarity describes any kind of method project and research activity that can examine a subject outside the scope of its own discipline without cooperation from other
relevant disciplines.

Inter-disciplinarily

Interdisciplinarity involves the combining of between two or more academic fields into one single discipline. An interdisciplinary field crosses traditional boundaries between schools of thought, and professions.

Trans-disciplinarity

Transdisciplinarity connotes of research strategy that crosses many disciplinary boundaries to create a holistic approach.

Qualitative research

Qualitative research shares these characteristics. Additionally it seeks to understand a given research problem or topic from the perspectives of the local population it involves. Qualitative research is especially effective in obtaining culturally specific information about the values opinions, behaviors, and social contexts of particular populations.

ETHNOGRAPHIC RESEARCH

Cultural group or phenomenon. Fieldwork is a fundamental part of that study and for anthropologists, ethnographic fieldwork involves documenting people’s beliefs and practices from the people’s own perspectives.
